Fête du Cirque 2024

SAINT-ROMAIN-DE-COLBOSC

Affiche Fête du Cirque 2024

Description

Once again this year, the festival of circus and street arts returns, with around fifty shows, most of them free, in the verdant setting of the Parc de Gromesnil in Saint-Romain-de-Colbosc. After a sneak preview under the big top on 28 May, you and your loved ones can look forward to an exciting and memorable programme of shows on 31 May, 1 and 2 June that will take you on a journey to other galaxies.

Sometimes rainy, but often sunny, every spring the festival has the flavour of a rainbow that children and adults alike watch in wonder. For the 12th edition of the festival, let’s keep our eyes on the sky: the artists will take us on a journey into other dimensions. Choose the Gobbledygook or Finnish audioguide and shake off the weight of gravity, twirl with the bubbles or the balls. The aim is to lose your bearings and your compass, so that you can finally and happily put your feet up and your head in the clouds.

The much-anticipated big top will be home to eight powerful women in a display of new circus that is as disarming as it is insane. “Mad in Finland” by Galapiat Cirque conjures up Finnish folklore with circus prowess, humour and music. Among the highlights, “La promesse du vide” (The Promise of Emptiness) will make you dizzy from its 9-metre height. This circus concert promises a moment of suspension on Saturday evening. To round off the festival, we’ll be watching the cosmonauts take off in “Gagarin is not dead”, an epic tale of the conquest of space combining spinning machinery, acrobatics and aerial stunts.
