Festival Polar à la Plage 2024

LE HAVRE

Polar à la plage 2024

Description

The Polar à la Plage festival was created in 2002 by a group of men and women who were fervent readers of crime and noir literature, and who wanted to make the city of Le Havre the center of a major event that would bring together many well-known and lesser-known authors, and thus attract a curious and avid reading public.

And so, for more than 20 years now, a succession of eminent authors of black literature have taken part. The Polar à la Plage festival, recognized nationally and internationally, brings an original cultural dimension to the city of Le Havre.

Thanks to the presence of established authors, including those from abroad, who attract regular audiences of all generations, the festival continues to showcase talent that has yet to achieve the notoriety it deserves.

With the support of the city of Le Havre and local, departmental and regional authorities, the Ancres Noires team has forged links with media libraries in Le Havre and the surrounding area, as well as with other partners in the fields of theater, cinema and music, not forgetting the French education system.
