Description

Wars and Peace – Offered by the commune of Gonfreville-l?Orcher.

In 1945, Gonfreville l?Orcher was the site of the “Philip Morris” American military camp, transformed after the GIs left into three temporary housing estates to accommodate disaster victims from Le Havre. Come and discover the life of this US camp and the daily lives of the families who took refuge in these uncomfortable dwellings by visiting the last barracks, rehabilitated by the commune, where you will find models, testimonies and photos.
