NEW VISIT: “Montivilliers, Cité des Abbesses”
At the origins of the town of Montivilliers there is an abbey founded in the 7th century.
Their common history is told in the emblematic places of what is called “the city of the abbesses”: the abbey church very representative of Norman Romanesque religious architecture, the fountain of the sixteenth century and the old convent buildings – classified monument historic – in which you discover the fully restored cloister, the eleventh century chapter house and the prestigious Gothic refectory today showroom
