Le Havre’s ubiquitous quays are an inseparable feature of its port identity. Take time on this walking tour to discover their history, role and future.

Learn all you need to know about how the city’s urban planning and development have evolved around these infrastructures, whether for industry, the port, housing or education.

During this 3-hour tour, take a trip back in time by visiting the Nose of the famous ship, the “France”, not far from the port authorities, before skirting the GAMESA SIEMENS factory, with your head towards the future. Then stroll along the Quai de la Saône and discover the A Docks housing estate and its containers, while strolling through the river gardens and stopping by the Dockers’ Bell. Finally, cross the student complex and make your way to the Bassin de la Citadelle, your terminus.
