Striking in its original sound device, the show plunges us into the heart of a personal earthquake, a discreet tragedy that is not without consequences for those close to us. Louve Reiniche-Larroche?s mother suddenly went deaf a few years ago. With admirably precise lip-synchronization, the actress lends her body to the voices of others – grandfather, brother, sister-in-law, great-niece – in an attempt to grasp the contours of her mother?s cataclysm. Like witnesses to an auditory memory forever lost, the family members confide in one another in a dynamic alternation. And in the dimly lit living room, a feeling of solitude and melancholy emerges, contrasting with the welcome bursts of humor.
