Even amateur actors are no slouches, and tackling a masterpiece of noir fiction is no mean feat.

The plot is well-oiled? but our very amateur comedians, worthy heirs to Monty Python, are going to turn it into a merry mess where gaffes and gags follow one another, leaving the spectator oscillating between perplexity and outright laughter.
