Come aboard the Cotentin schooner Neire Maôve for the Grandes Voiles du Havre 2025 in the Bay of Le Havre.

For 2 hours, you’ll be able to appreciate the authentic charm of old riggings sailing “edge to edge”.

Those who wish can slip into the shoes of a sailor, by taking part in the maneuvers: Heave! Tack!

The Cotentin schooner Neire Mâove (“black seagull” in Norman dialect) represents this ancient family of boats, and combines all the technological improvements acquired before production ceased in the 1930s. She was built as part of the “Bateaux du patrimoine des côtes de France” competition organized by the magazine Chasse-Marée on the occasion of the 1992 Brest maritime festival gathering of traditional riggings. Neire Mâove was launched on July 4, 1992. Home port: Barneville-Carteret (50).

Maximum capacity: 19 passengers

Conditions :
– Must be at least 3 years old with compulsory life jacket (provided by crew)
– No wheelchairs or PRMs allowed on board
– Dogs not allowed
– Heeled shoes not allowed
– Booking and payment only online.

Morning departures: 8:50 am
Afternoon departures: 1:15pm and 4:20pm
