Déviations Festival

Description

Created in 2024 and dedicated to new forms of live performance, the Déviations Festival invites audiences into the very heart of the questions that drive the creative process.

What is creation? What makes a work of art? In today’s world, what can art still tell us—and perhaps more importantly, how?

By exploring new dramaturgies and interdisciplinary approaches—whether by transforming the way performers address the audience, engaging the senses of smell or touch, disrupting the traditional stage–audience relationship, or offering unique one-to-one experiences—the performances and installations at “Déviatio”ns all share a desire to cross boundaries. In doing so, they shift the audience’s perspective, both literally and figuratively, and challenge even the ways in which art is produced and created.

Each season, over the course of three weeks, around fifteen works of all formats are presented in the various venues of Le Volcan, as well as across the wider Le Havre area and as far as Fécamp. A festival of encounters and bold artistic exploration for audiences of all ages.
