Conférence : “Valmont, son château, une page d’histoire sociale ha
LE HAVRE
Description
For thousands of families in Le Havre, the Château de Valmont brings back many memories.
In 1973, when René de la Morandière signed an emphyteutic lease with a group of 35 works councils in the Le Havre region, the Château de Valmont became an exceptional social and cultural achievement.
With the support of the Tourisme et Travail association, the 35 Works Councils were to offer employees? families a 90-hectare natural area of outstanding beauty, a château steeped in 900 years of history, and a cultural venue for leisure and relaxation.
For the next 20 years, the park will offer a program of events, exhibitions, shows and concerts by major artists including :
Francis Cabrel, Patricia Kaas, Bernard Lavilliers, Claude Nougaro, Jacques Higelin and many others?
For 20 years, the château will be open to visitors, who will discover its history, its transformations and its owners.
This challenge and adventure lasted until 1993.
Francis Grandguillot, a former employee and animator at the Park, invites you to relive this militant period through a few animated pages illustrated with photos.
