Knitting for peace. Giant balls of wool, a rope ladder, intertwining threads and suspended spider webs form the unique backdrop for this poetic, dreamlike show. The five artists from the Swedish circus company Cirkus Cirkör use their disciplines and virtuosity to create a peaceful utopia that weaves links, relationships and interactions within an immaculate textile universe. It’s like being in a tale without words, with acrobatic figures tracing out stories in space. Live music interweaves its intensity with that of the weightless bodies, electrifying the feats. Between dizzying heights and magical flights of fancy, the moving tableaux unfold a childlike quest for harmony, cultivating a taste for the impossible and for challenges. Like a crazy dream to be realized together.
