10ème Académie des Musiciens de Saint-Julien
LE HAVRE
Description
A week of music, encounters and immersion in the Baroque world.
The 10th Académie de musique et de danses anciennes des Musiciens de Saint-Julien will be held in Le Havre from August 11 to 17, featuring concerts, balls and lectures.
The week-long course will take place at the Arthur Honegger Conservatory in Le Havre, combining the advantages of the Conservatory with those of the seaside.
Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, have released 20 CDs, the last two of which are devoted respectively to Mozart’s flute concertos and unpublished pieces for flute by Marin Marais. Between continuity and transformation, the trainees and Musiciens de Saint-Julien will explore the Baroque repertoire with three concerts and a ball as part of Rendez-vous d’Arthur, three lectures by specialists in the field, and two concerts to close the week by the Académie’s trainees.
The prestige of the speakers is already attracting future academicians: Tobie Miller on baroque hurdy-gurdy, Jérôme Hantaï on viola da gamba, Miguel Henry on lute, theorbo, guitar and cistre, Violaine Cochard and Marie van Rhijn on harpsichord and vocal direction, Élodie Fonnard on baroque singing, Josef Zak on violin, Jérémie Papasergio on bassoon, Elsa Frank on oboe and recorder, Naïk Raviart on ancient dances…
