The Havre Mémoires & Partages association invites you to take a stroll through the Saint-François district. This neighborhood is emblematic of the merchants who practiced the triangular trade, against the backdrop of the history of the captives, their departure from Africa, the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean or “Middle Passage”, life on the plantations, the marronage and the Abolition. It’s a six-stage account “from Capture to Freedom” of the history of slavery, the Triangular Trade and the slave trade.
