Exhibition: Small tables and Grand Couvert – A thousand years of c
Snacks, meals, banquets or feasts punctuate daily life and accompany all life events in each culture. The table gathers and unites. Space of sociability, exchanges and transmission, it appeals to the five senses, invites exploration, arouses curiosity; it awakens the imagination and encourages creation.
In this year of gastronomy and to participate in this national momentum, “the arts of eating well” will be exhibited all summer at the Abbey of Graville. This theme will be echoed at the Maison de l’Armateur and at the Hôtel Dubocage in Bléville. “Small tables and large cutlery” will host collections of furniture, ceramics and glassware from museums. Painting, engravings, cookbooks, everyday or unusual objects will be associated with them to celebrate tastes, the arts and the table, and share a thousand years of conviviality.
Exhibition from June 18 to November 6.
